The Challenge
The Duke University Health System Performance Services department performs valuable financial and performance analysis for Executives throughout the organization. Much of the results of the project support of the Management Engineers was not centrally located. Also as organizational priorities changed, it was difficult to document the work performed and previous solutions recommended. A web site was used for deployment of reports, however, it lacked customization and was difficult to manage and update.

The Topsail Solution
Topsail built a sophisticated web portal to provide Executives with a one-stop site to view, save, and search for critical business performance reports. The site offers a "My Page" concept where executives can add dynamic content so it is easy to find on their next visit. The system also sends email notices whenever content is updated to keep the decision makers in the know at all times. Another huge benefit is that the responsibility for report publication is now distributed to individual content providers. This eliminates the need for a central webmaster and also drastically reduces the time and effort to publish new reports. Now it is very easy to view and learn about the various support and analyses performed throughout the Health System.
