Duke Medical Physics recruits the brightest and the best students into their world-class graduate programs. The website is a primary resource for prospective candidates. Medical Physics tasked Topsail with the job of updating their old website, overhauling it to provide the information in a web and responsive mobile optimized experience that searching candidates would expect. Plus, the website needed to be easy to maintain so that it remains current.

Topsail redesigned the website to reflect a modern look that is easy to understand and navigate. The design goal was simplicity with a modern feel responsive to whatever desktop or mobile device a visitor is using. Topsail also hand-crafted a content management system (CMS) specifically designed to meet the needs of the site maintainers. There is a focus on Faculty and Students as well as the normal page and other site asset resource management. Of particular note is an automated link to Duke University system that manages faculty research materials that periodically slurps in the relevant information for each faculty member. This ensures that the site is up-to-date and not out of sync with other Duke data. Best of all, faculty research data does not need to be duplicated and maintained.
